Effortless buoyancy!

Have you ever heard of Sensory Deprivation Tanks or Float Tanks!?! I found out about them a few years ago from a friend and have been curious about them ever since. However, at that time, the cost of a one-hour session was pretty pricey (in my mind) – approx. $100 CAD. So I waited. Travel Tuesday :- Hot Springs in Israel

Wherever I travel to I tend to seek out at least one location for a bit of self-care, spa time, “Me” time. When I was in the Northern reaches of Israel early in November of 2014, I looked for a natural hot springs that is easily accessible from Tiberias.

Tiberias is a city on the Sea of Galilee. Minutes from Tiberias is the Tiberias Hot Spring which is accessible on foot or by taking the local bus. The ‘uniform’ and locker key which also keeps track of your tab.

After a hot, relaxing bath – I fondly thought of my recent visit to Spa Castle in Queens, NY. I heard about this gem prior to my visit from a friend and knew that I MUST spoil myself with a visit during my week stay in NYC.

Let me tell you, if you are anywhere close to its location, you owe it to yourself to spend a few hours if not a full day at this spa! I am definitely glad they did justice in naming this spa, it IS like castle! And I have been to many spas around the world.

If you’re a spa lover like me you definitely have to MAKE time for this place!

This started my mainstay of self-care without me realizing it on a conscious level. Massages, reflexology, acupuncture, cupping, body scrubs, hot stone massages, deep tissue massages – the list goes on and on. After some of the treatments I would come out bruised or sore but it was all worth it because for me this was the good pain that many athletes talk about after a good workout.
